This is my favorite recipe for star anise. Also, it is very
simple.
1 pkg. chicken legs (or other dark meat with bones)
2 star anise
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2-3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1-2 Tbsp. sherry
Remove the skin from the chicken, and place in a 2 or 3 qt.
saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to coat
chicken pieces. Bring to a boil, and cover. Cook for about
1/2 hour. Stir after 15 min. to move the pieces around a little.
The chicken will have a dark color from the soy sauce, and will
be very tender. Serve with vegetables.
